FERNANDO EPSTEIN

Film producer and editor, known for his contribution to contemporary Uruguayan cinema and his involvement in successful Latin American productions. Co-founder of Control Z Films and later Mutante Cine, he has produced numerous award-winning works such as Whisky (Pablo Stoll and Juan Pablo Rebella, 2004), The Heiresses (Marcelo Martinessi, Paraguay, 2018), and Monos (Alejandro Landes, Colombia, 2019). His work has garnered over 70 awards at international film festivals. Since 2021, he has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Producers Branch. As an editor, he has collaborated with renowned filmmakers from the region on titles such as Neon Bull and Divine Love (Gabriel Mascaro, Brazil, 2016 and 2019), The Silence of the River (Carlos Tribiño, Colombia, 2016), and Exstasis (Moara Passoni, Brazil, 2020). In 2020, he ventured into series editing with HBO’s Sentencia. As an editing instructor and consultant, he has worked with programs such as EAVE’s Puentes Internacional and taught at leading audiovisual training institutions across Latin America. His career blends creative, technical, and teaching experience, establishing him as a key figure in the regional film industry.

DANIEL DALMAS

He began his journey in executive production in 2019, specializing in creative processes and development strategies. Initially working with Mutante Cine, he has more recently strengthened his focus through the creation of Guay Films alongside Fernando Epstein. Holding a degree in Audiovisual Languages and Media, in 2017 he was awarded a scholarship by Uruguay’s National Agency for Research and Innovation to pursue a postgraduate degree in Arts, Literature, and Languages, with a specialization in Film Studies, at Université Lumière Lyon 2 in France. His graduation thesis received the 2020 Performing Arts Award from the Association of Members of the Academic Palms in Lyon. In 2023, he specialized in executive production and co-production at La Fémis, Paris. He has also worked as a director, editor, and post-producer in Uruguay for Ska Films and Trailer Media, and in France between 2019 and 2023, leading the post-production department at Cinephase–Audiophase Paris, for clients such as TF1, Fox, Disney, and Discovery Channel.
